High School Player of the Month/Year
The Devils continue to honor the top student-athletes throughout
the state of New Jersey with its High School
Player of the Month/Year program
Each month from December through February, six student-athletes
from different conferences are selected as recipients of the award.
An All-Tournament Team is selected in March and an overall High
School Player of the Year is chosen at the conclusion of the season.
Winners are based on nominations received from varsity ice hockey
coaches throughout the state. Award winners and their guests receive
complimentary tickets to a Devils’ game, a plaque presented
by a Devils’ player, and dinner at the Continental Airlines
Arena’s Winners Club. Last season’s Player of the
Year was defenseman Kevin Kielt of Brick Township.
College Students
College students enrolled in sports management, communications,
journalism, or television and radio courses may be eligible to
attend a Devils’ game, and at the same time earn valuable
experience viewing the game night operations of a professional
sports team. This may include access to the press box and post-game
interview areas. Students interested in taking advantage of this
program should have their schools contact the Devils in writing
on the school’s letterhead.
Requests should be sent to the Devils’ Communications Department,
Continental Airlines Arena, P.O. Box 504, East Rutherford, NJ
07073. Please note that space is extremely limited.
